The following article contains the MEO CLASS 4 examination procedure for graduates, who have taken GME entry into merchant navy. GME is a entry done into merchant navy, after completion of BE in mechanical engineering from an AICTE approved college.
After completing your onboard training of acquiring, minimum 120 days of propulsion. Canditates should appear for the following courses.
- PSCRB
- MEDICAL FIRST AID
- ENGINE ROOM SIMULATION
- ADVANCE FIRE FIGHTING.
- HIGH VOLTAGE
The total cost of these courses will amount to around 25k to 30k.
These courses are mandatory, in appearing for class 4 part- B assesment. Every MMD provides a checklist, which contains the prerequisite documents, requires for appearing MEO class 4 Part- B assesment. Part-A is exempted for GME canditates.
We then need to create an account through eparisha portal http://220.156.188.226/CREBS/Authentication/Login
Canditates need to create a username and password in eparisha login. Once you have created an account, all activities regarding examination seat booking, results and fee payment will be done through your eparisha account
Once you have acquired all the documents and certificates required for attention Class 4 Part- B assessment. We need to pay the assesment fee of Rs 3000 through eparisha account. This amount of Rs 3000 is the fees for class 4 part-B assesment. After fees payment, candidate will be alloted a date. On this date, for verification purpose, candidates need to bring all the original documents as per given in the assesment checklist.Class 4 part-B assesment is the verification procedure conducted by MMD, to check whether canditates have all the required original documents for appearing MEO CLASS 4 EXAMINATION.
After assesment verification is done. Canditates will have to book the slot for 6 writtens and 4 orals, through eparisha login. Canditates need to check everyday, whether slots are opened by login into eparisha account.
Fee of one written paper will be Rs 1000 and the fee of one oral paper will be Rs 1000. Total it will cost Rs 10,000 for all 6 written paper and 4 oral paper.

Each written papers will be conducted on seperate days, which is conducted online and consists of objective type questions. The results for written paper will be published by next month in our eparisha account. And all 4 oral papers will be conducted on a single day. The results for oral paper will be known on the same date of oral examination.Admit cards will be provided for attending the examination, through eparisha account.Examination results will be publish in your eparisha account.
Once you have cleared all 10 papers. You will get a link for COC application in your eparisha account. You need to fill the application, upload the required documents and submit by paying a fees of Rs 3000. Your COC will be delivered to your house address within 2 weeks.
